This is a physical map of the middle eastern area that the Byzantine empire was in. It shows the mountains and deserts that were around and help us understand the way the people lived in the area

This map shows the types of crops grown in the turkey, which was the center of the byzantine empire. Where mountains are on the physical map you can see that wheat is growing there on the crop map.
Major cities
This map shows the major cities in the byzantine empire. Constantinople, now Istanbul not Constantinople, was the capital of the empire because of its strategic setting. Many recognizable cities like Rome, Athens, and Milan, were part of this influential empire.

This map shows the major trade that the byzantine empire had with the rest of the world. The silk route that is coming out of China was very important, as they would take that silk than decorate it in gold and other fine things than sell it to other empires at higher prices. The Byzantine empire itself didnt really have a large export mostly it was fine things like clothing and textiles.
